30.04.21 - Latest update
We are now open as planned and everyone can travel to us if you reside in the UK. The minimum stay will be for 7 nights.
The one legal household restriction announced by the Scottish Government on 24.09.20 will apply until further notice.
All bookings must be made online. Please note we have taken the decision not to offer short breaks until further notice, bookings will be for a minimum of 7 nights.
Due to the continuing uncertainty regarding foreign travel and sudden quarantine announcements, we have had to make the very hard decision not to accept overseas visitors until further notice. Please do not proceed with an online booking if you are resident outside of the UK.
If we are forced to close due to a postcode travel restriction lockdown in our area or if you are travelling from an area that is in a postcode travel restriction lockdown area, you will be refunded the full amount of the booking or be a offered a full credit for a future stay. If, this looks likely, and if at all possible, we would like fair notice, so that we may have a chance to re-let your lodge. We understand that holiday cancellation insurance is almost impossible to purchase at the moment to cover pandemics, so think this is fair to both parties. We reserve the right to cancel any booking, at any time, due to lockdown travel restrictions.
If you are unable to travel because you or any member of your party have Covid-like symptoms, we will offer you a credit of the full amount for a future stay. We will require written evidence from a health professional if you require to cancel for this reason.
Please read our full terms & conditions regarding cancellation before proceeding with a booking. https://bracken-lodges.com/terms/
We are following the strict Scottish Government Guidelines for our industry standard in order to re-open safely. We have always taken great care to ensure that the lodges are immaculate for your arrival and we will be following any extra cleaning protocols that are required. We have undertaken training and are fully competent in our knowledge of the UK wide Cleaning Protocols for Self-Catering Properties and Short Terms Lets in the Context of Covid-19. We have also acquired the 'We're Good to Go' accreditation which has been introduced by Visit Scotland and Visit Britain as an industry standard. We are members of the Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers and Visit Scotland. Along with PASC, the Professional Association of Self-Caterers, these Trade Associations have collaborated to develop a strict cleaning protocol for the UK Self-Catering Sector.
Arrival time is from 4.30pm. At the reception, we now have a key collection area. There is a map showing where your lodge is located, along with the key hanging up outside for your lodge. Your name will also be next to your key. Key collection will only be from 4.30pm, please do not arrive before this time as the key will not be available. Lodges must be departed by 9.30am.
We have hand sanitising dispensers at the entry to each lodge, the laundry and the bin area. As we all know hand hygiene is the most important part in preventing the spread of any bacteria and virus. Please remember to bring your own face masks which are now mandatory in shops, cafes, visitor centres, etc. We all have a duty of care to each other to help prevent the spread of the disease.
In line with the Government Guidelines regarding Covid-19, day visitors or the entertaining of other people not staying at Bracken Lodges will not be permitted at the moment.
The 40 acres of wonderful, unspoilt parkland make Bracken Lodges the perfect location to enjoy a safe break. We have a private beach area, where you can safely social distance and is a lovely spot for a bbq. The safety of our guests, their families and ourselves is a priority during theses times. We will generally always be about during your stay as we are on site. We are absolutely committed to providing a safe environment for you to enjoy your stay.
We can't wait to welcome everyone to enjoy our beautiful location on Loch Tay.
Best wishes and please take care, Patrick & Fiona
